The sources behind every line

There are three kinds of source here, and the pages say which one a line comes from: the published standard that applies today, the public record of the draft, and the related standards named for orientation. The ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2018 text is not reproduced. The DIS requirement text is not public and is not reproduced.

Related standards, named only

ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, 12207 and 15289 are the frameworks the 29148 scope names. They are used here for orientation, not quoted. Sector frameworks such as IEC 62304, ISO 26262, DO-178C and EN 50716 can carry the same requirements into a regulated domain; they are named on the rules page where the estate holds them, and their text is not reproduced.

How the sources are used

If a source changes. The refresh script re-downloads the public source, diffs it against the record and fails loudly on a change. That diff is what the change watch sends. A correction is made in the record and regenerates every page, not patched on one page.
