What this service is
ISO 29148 Revision Checker publishes a reference to ISO/IEC/IEEE 29148:2018 and the public record of its revision, a free readiness check and plan builder, a paid obligation kit and a paid change watch. It is not a certification body, an assessor, a law firm or a consultancy. It does not certify, audit or give legal advice.
The free material
The record pages, the Annex pages, the revision record, the sources, the method, the free check and the plan builder are free to read and use. You may quote a short extract with attribution and a link. You may not republish the pages wholesale or present them as your own.
The kit
The kit is sold once for USD 149. One organization may use it internally and with the consultants working for it. You may copy rows into your own requirements documents. You may not resell it, publish it as a product, or use it to certify anyone. The files are generated from the record on the date of purchase; the record can change afterwards, and the watch is the way to be told.
Update entitlement. A kit buyer may download the regenerated kit when the third edition is published, at no extra charge, using the same account. That is the published edition correction, not a new product. The watch is the alert service; it does not include the kit.
The watch
The watch is a monthly subscription of USD 19, billed by Stripe until cancelled. It sends an email when the record, its guidance or a date changes. It does not send an email when nothing changed. Cancelling stops the next payment and the next alert; it does not refund a month already started. The watch is not a legal update service and does not replace the published standard or an assessor.
Accuracy
The requirements, evidence and gaps are our own words, written from the published standard and cited to the clause. They are not the official text. The official text controls if there is a difference. Check any line against the published standard before relying on it for a contract, an assessment or a safety decision. The planning date is an estimate and is not an ISO commitment. The revision notes rest on the public ISO stage record, which does not include the draft clauses.
Refunds and governing law
The kit is a digital product delivered immediately on payment. If a download fails and support cannot restore it, write to support@theartofservice.com within 30 days and we will restore the files or refund the payment. Beyond that, and except where the law requires otherwise, a one-off kit payment is not refundable once the files have been downloaded. The watch is cancellable at any time and is not refunded for a month already started.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Where a guarantee applies and the failure is not a major failure, our liability is limited to resupplying the service or paying the cost of having it resupplied. These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the courts of Queensland have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
Trademarks and copyright
ISO, IEC and IEEE, and the titles and numbers of their publications, are the marks and copyright of their respective owners. The Art of Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by ISO, IEC or IEEE. The same applies to the US Food and Drug Administration, the European Union, the Therapeutic Goods Administration, RTCA and EUROCAE, whose frameworks are named on the rules page. The standard text is not reproduced.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, The Art of Service is not liable for a decision taken on the material, including a conformance claim, a procurement decision or a safety decision. Your assessor, your customer and your legal adviser decide those questions.
